TRX-4 Jeep Cherokee Wanted to go with something different than all the Broncos that are turning up. Bought a kit and started building it up. Needed to shave the inner fenders to get the body to drop on. Swapped out the bumper for a RC4WD bumper and Axial roof rack with KC Light bar. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6afd86a85b.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Much farther along than I am so will be watching the outcome. What color? |
Re: TRX-4 Jeep Cherokee Agreed love the Cherokee body. Body on a trx4 rtr or build kit? Curious on fitment. |
Re: TRX-4 Jeep Cherokee Excellent Build As has been asked, what color? |

I bought a kit so I could build my way :) I heard to many bad stories from the LHS on missing grease and sloppy RTRs. Plus I had no need for the Traxxas bodies on RTRs. During my build I removed the seals off all the bearings to clean them out and repack them grease  I figured it wouldn't hurt since its a crawler and not a race truck. |
Re: TRX-4 Jeep Cherokee I have a couple of pics that I will post up shortly with the fit. |

Re: TRX-4 Jeep Cherokee Couldn't wait to get working on them I really like the Knights Customs parts they fit perfectly together the rear tail lights will look so much better than the Axial decals https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...bbe91f1612.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
TRX-4 Jeep Cherokee Front and rear fenders trimmed to fit the Cherokee not much was removed to make it work https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...abece5ec50.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d390c6c0b2.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: TRX-4 Jeep Cherokee Also needed to cut and reshape the rear bumper mount to get the Axial bumper work I also added LED backup lights in the bumper that I have wired to the motor (+wire and negative motor and -wire to positive motor) this way when I back up the bumper lights light the way https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...37f4c4b9ce.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c7ceea0971.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...210e0b52ed.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: TRX-4 Jeep Cherokee The wires are ran down the side of the battery box I hate seeing sloppy messy wire jobs so I have tried to keep it clean and simple https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...cb60752e43.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: TRX-4 Jeep Cherokee Getting ready to put in some LEDs in the headlights my problem is not sure which ones: the warm white color that looks like normal headlights....or.... the bright white that has the blue tint to them I do know you get LED headlights kits for the 1:1 XJ so going bright would be still true I also will be running a light bar with the bright white tint so I am leaning towards the bright white I have both as LHS stocks both so I picked up some its an awesome LHS they carry just about everything "thumbsup" Looking for some input for everyone |

Re: TRX-4 Jeep Cherokee Quote:
If your going for as period and as Scale as you can, then warm white. IMO warm white does not show to well on vids during the day and blows donkey nuts at night. Like you said modernize it with and LED upgrade aka bright as Can be. Not blinding but BRIGHT. |
Re: TRX-4 Jeep Cherokee Quote:
as for the fenders I will just leave them as is that is how I am used to see fenders around here in my parts. they crack down hard with tires not having flares over them here. your 1:1 XJ would be pulled over and ticket given out. i do like the look of the shaved fenders though. i got nailed for not having light covers on my Hella lights on my EVO but the truck next to me with lightbar got nothing  any ideas on headlights |

i agree the with you on the warm sucking at night my thoughts are if you have upgraded rig for off road then light system would be upgraded also you need to see right that's what is so fun about this you have choices that are not going to break the bank  |
