Hang up and Drive

I have a local spot that's covered in grey (maybe granite) riprap. Haven't made it there to crawl yet due to it being on the river and the water level is a bit too high at the moment. I've ran TSLs, iRoks, cut canyon trails and Hyrax on them. The Hyrax and canyon trail have done the best by far. Both of my rigs are able to crawl almost any line on my course. Wet is a little different but still very capable. Have any pics of the cut growlers handy? When you gonna trek up this way Mike? Gotta go crawl some rocks together one day.

I worked in Winter Haven for about a year. Was making a long haul every day, but the pay was worth it. Wouldn't do it again tho. 92 miles one way is a bit much. Good thing I had a company truck and gas card

My buddy giving the Trx a run. Still one of the hardest spots on my course.

I made it once outta 5 tries with the Trx and crawled right over it first try with the Dingo on this line.

Here's my DIY headlights installed on Nukizer body. These are 12v dome light LEDs that are a perfect fit and bright.

Working on the taillights and rock lights.

Here's a video I shot this evening on the backyard course https://youtu.be/DpWkuGukTqY hope you enjoy!

Nukizer is looking awesome and the backyard course is rad. Very cool video. Sub’d.

Your trx4 is soooo much quieter than mine. I need to do some maintenance.

Thanks Danza! I must have pulled that gear cover off 30 times trying to get that mesh to quite down. Tiny little pieces of gorilla tape under the motor mount plate is what did the trick.

Sorry I haven't updated my thread in a while. Have done a few things to my Trx but nothing huge. Installed some DIY oil jug inner fenders, DIY rock lights & An extra electronics box to help clean up the wiring nightmare I had going on. Other then that just been driving it any chance I get. Upgrades to come flysky 6ch Rx and light controller.

Here's a few pics from last night.

Went out crawling yesterday at my favorite local spot with some buddies for my birthday crawl. Was a great time!

Both of my buddies' rigs did allot better then the first time we went out. Unbelieveable how much difference a good set wheels, tires and foams make. The TRX is still holding together great and climbing almost anything I point it at. Have been kicking around the idea of under driving the rear and also maybe one of those nice flat trans skids from Fish's RC crawler parts. Also noticed I'm going to need to add a little weight to the rear as I keep flipping down allot of the decents. Not sure which way I wanna address that issue yet. Thanks for checking out my build. Will be posting a video this evening from yesterday's fun.

PS: doing a servo giveaway on my YouTube channel of your interested.

Small update: used a piece of aluminum flashing cut down to 1/2" and some longer bolts to make a extension for my front electronics box. Now everything fits in there good with no issues.

Thank you sir! I like the free mods! I have a 10'x2' piece of flashing rolled up in my shed. It has came in handy a few times.

So I've been running the awesome Codyboy Nukizer for a few months and it has taken some pretty good tumbles. The bed was starting to tear off and I didn't want to destroy it by it getting ripped off. Soo........

Yep I cut the bed off. I made sure to make nice clean cuts for when I do my own cab I can put it back together for the shelf or change up. I've been wanting to do a truggy since before I got my rig. So now it's happening. I went with 3/16" steel brake line. Due to the price and weight. It fits my budget and weight goals. I used a tip I got from here on the forum and tightly filled the tube with sand. That way the tube wouldn't kink while being bent. It worked great! Using my Dremel tool I've cut and fish mouthed everything I have together so far. I'm using tape to hold everything in place until I get it all finished and bring it to my buddy. Who is going to Tig weld it all together for me. So here's some pics of what I have gotten done so far. Have about 4 hrs into it at this point. Most of that time spent staring at it trying to figure out where and how I wanted each piece. Hoping to get it all ready for welding in the next week or so. Let me know what you think.

Last pic the body is not sitting correct. Cage will be slightly higher then the cab.

Lookin fine, how are you mounting to the frame? Plates or just drill and screws

Plan on doing a tab on both sides of the front roll bar and use the rock slider screws for mounting that part. Haven't decided exactly how I'm doing the rear but most likely going to do a wrap around flat plate on the back of the frame and weld the rear hoop to the inside of it. That will close the rear of the frame and make a smooth transfer back there. Still have some figuring to do, but I think my idea will work.

Looking good Justin! I’m digging the nuked buggy and the shape you have going for the cage. Nice work.

I was going to braze it, but silver solder and flux is about $50. My budget is too tight for that. Luckily I have two buddies that have years of Tig experience that wanna see my cage done.

Just a few more minor cage details like mounting points and it'll be ready to be welded together. Added a aluminum battery tray cover that will have a few scale items on it to help blend it in a bit. Trimmed the rock slides and side trays some aswell. Really digging the way it's looking. Here's some pics!!!
