Traxxas is now offering plastic Method beadlocks Was looking at the updated PARTS LIST and noticed a couple new additions in the wheel and tire section. As of posting this there are two colors and are only in the 1.9" size. The pic only shows the wheel itself w/o the locking rings or screws so I called traxxas and the fella I spoke to did a little looking and could only find the wheel and no rings, these were added on May 2nd so I imagine the rings will follow soon. Looking at the tire bead channel, it appears to be rather large so I'd guess there should be no problem mounting any manufactures tires. I'll call them in a week or so and see if there is any more info or updates. I might have to buy two sets and see if other manufactures rings will work on these as well. Anyways here is the link to the wheels... 8173 Method 105 Black Chrome 1.9" 8173A Method 105 Charcoal Black 1.9" https://traxxas.com/sites/default/fi...ducts/8173.jpg https://traxxas.com/sites/default/fi...ucts/8173A.jpg Pic of the 2.2" and 1.9" mounted up. Re: Traxxas is now offering plastic Method beadlocks Nice find! I’d be interested in a set if the price is right. Am getting fed up of my rc4wd steeliness loosing the bead. :-/ |
Re: Traxxas is now offering plastic Method beadlocks Methods are played out by years of Vanquish and Fanquish. I wish they would have licensed a different brand. |
Re: Traxxas is now offering plastic Method beadlocks For that price i don't believe the aluminum beadlock rings are included, they aren't even included in the pictures |
Re: Traxxas is now offering plastic Method beadlocks They remind me of the proline plastic beadlocks. 8 million screws to change tires and not enough on the outside to look scale. At least Vanquish got it right with number of ring bolts on outside and only 5 to actually get the tire on and off. |
Re: Traxxas is now offering plastic Method beadlocks I called traxxas yesterday and the rep told me the rings are included even though they weren't pictured. If that's the case that will be a great price for those wheels. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |

No doubt...has to be worth $8.00 a pair. |

Re: Traxxas is now offering plastic Method beadlocks That 12 bolt pattern could work with Axial or (more importantly) Locked Up rings but a unique ring bolt pattern seems much more like something Traxxas would do. Still, $8/pair beadlocks are hard to beat. |
Re: Traxxas is now offering plastic Method beadlocks Just looked on the traxxas site and the updated description says rings sold separately. I Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |

http://i64.tinypic.com/mbhgk1.png I believe it was cancelled because they haven't figured about the prices and the beadlock ring option isn't available yet |
Re: Traxxas is now offering plastic Method beadlocks The 2.2 wheels are up on RPP. http://cdn3.volusion.com/7z62e.xvk6w...jpg?1527776841 Traxxas Wheels Method 105 2.2" BeadlTraxxas Wheels Method 105 2.2" Beadlock (Charcoal Gray) (2)ock (Black Chrome) (2) Sweet, $8 wheels right?
