| de-chromify?
Gents...or ladies, don't care where good advice comes from... Not much of a chrome fan, prefer the rally blacked-out look. Picked up a Bronco clear body and all the accessory bits - they are all chromed. Anyone have a solid method of simply removing the chrome plating without destroying/melting the plastic? Easy-Off was a suggestion I heard long ago, never attempted it. |

Super Clean degreaser. Used it to remove paint from slot car bodies and parts. Pour in a container and let parts sit until they are stripped clean. Usually overnight.

I think bleach can remove fake chrome plating. Haven't tried it though!

Super Clean, dunk it for 2-4 minutes, stir occasionally. |

Super Clean works great and usually pretty fast. Took me about 30 min to de-chrome a set of Clod rims. Where did you get a clear Bronco body set?
