| GRC motor mount?
Anyone running one of these motor mounts? If so, can you provide some feedback? https://www.asiatees.com/display?Tra...RX-4&id=150097 |

I've also been looking at these and waiting for a body to be in stock before finally purchasing it. I think that it will make things easier for setting the pinion/spur gear engagement as the normal motor mounts flop around a lot when the cover is removed. Price looks good as well.

Sounds like a nice trip man! Anxious to hear what you think of the mount when you get some time with it.

Looks like a beefy motor mount. That's cool.

Installed one tonight. It is well built but noticed a couple things. 1. The area where the motor bolts to is thicker than stock. I had to move the pinion gear out some so the grub screw would clear the spur gear. 2. In order to remove the motor mount cover, I had to remove the forward battery tray screws and lift the tray up some as the swivel mount for the battery holder blocks it. I may shave some plastic off and see if that makes it easier to remove the cover. Overall, it is a great mount. I may get another one for my Bronco. |

engineering/design suggestion regarding the motor plate gear cover assembly... I would make the skidplate/ lower gear cover (TRA823 all one piece, including the vertical plastic motor mount portion of part (TRA8290). Leaving the spur gear cover the only separate piece of the assembly. That alone would tighten things up sufficiently. |

Sounds like I might be ordering one of these before too long. Mine just started making way to much noise for my liking.

The extra thickness was actually a plus for me as I am using the Holmes Hobbies Revolver which has a fairly long shaft. Even so I still needed to add a set of Yeah Racing motor spacers as the shaft was still touching the cover. The spacers add 3mm which is enough to fix the problem. I added a little heatsink paste between the spacers and the motor mount runs very close to the same temperature as the motor. The ESC is attached with tie wraps because adhesive velcro doesn't stick very well to the 3D printed battery tray. Tried both Velcro and 3M brands but the results were the same.
