Trx4 not responding after wet

My trx4 ended up submerged in the river for 5 seconds, I pulled it out quickly and disconnected the battery. Let it dry out for 3 days before I tried the truck, it did not drive, only thing it did was straighten the wheels when I turned it on. I then tried charging the battery it seemed to charge fine. So basically right now none of the functions work. But the light kit works when I plug it in. Seems like I need either a new battery or esc?

My guess would be the receiver. Have you checked it? Is there a light on. Checked the receiver box for water ingress?

best way to dry electronics: put them in a bag of rice for a few days

I got literally a drop of water inside my receiver, when it was inside the stock receiver box, and the truck quit responding. A day in rice followed by a drenching in CRC plastic safe electronics cleaner brought it back to life. I then ditched the stock box and filled the receiver and plugs with dielectric grease to maintain waterproofness.

Thanks guys, fixed it. There was water in receiver box I blew it out with air compressor, still didn't work so I reset the receiver by hitting link button on receiver box and repaired it to controller

Least you got it running again. I've never been a completely 100% true believer in waterproof electronics, but makes feel better having it than not. Water can create many problems for electronics for sure. Next time you play in the water make sure your truck has a life jacket, lol

I used conformal coating on mine. had the same issue before. Goes full submarine now. No receiver box
