As a newb to crawlers... would you recommend the kit as a first crawler? Or would you recommend the completed one?

I always recommend a kit version. It helps you understand how your vehical works. Also it makes it easier for you if you have to repair it. Traxxas put together easy to understand instructions of how to put it together.. Also a kit allows you to make the vehical yours and not look like everyone elses trx4.. But a kit has to be built... A RTR allows you to drive it today!!!

Good advice.
Yeah I’m leaning towards a kit as building them are half the fun!
I drive by this all the time but it wasn’t till I started looking into crawlers that this popped out to me

One is a Tekin Pro4HD 3000kv. The other is a Tekin roc412 3100kv both are sensored motors. One is going in tiny tire kit TRX4.. What should I go with?

Nice truck, some buttonhead screws around the headlights would look better than the cap heads or maybe glue in from behind with E6000.

I'd go with the slightly physically smaller ROC412 and gear down.

Thanks for input Natedog. The roc412 is a 36x53mm motor. I dont think they make a physically smaller 36x50mm roc412.. The kv 3100kv is a lil high for me .. I have a 2300kv laying around somwhere
