Default my shot at a Bronco...

Not complete, but a good start. Tend to favor muted colors.

Really digging the blacked out trim. Did you just de-chrome or did you paint?

I think those tactical wheels go well with the scheme you have going too. Nice work!

That looks badass celt!

Did you turn a Tactical into a Bronco or did you buy a Bronco?

Have you found any good places to run the TRX4 around Madison?

Someone on this forum pointed me to "Super Clean"...gave it a soak and the chrome just washed away. No fuss at all and no damage to the plastic. Worked really well.

At some point I'll get some other wheels to try out, but these are what I have at the moment, don't look too bad, kinda goes with the theme I guess.

I built another TRX-4 kit. I have a few bodies with the 324mm wheelbase (Tactical, Defender and Pro-line Jeep) and this one for the shorter 312mm wheelbase - just the Bronco for now.

Lot's of awesome places in Madison...

Lovin' it, my man!

What brand and color code paint?

You going to do something behind the grille later?

Make it look like you can see the radiator, perhaps?

Agree with all the above.

Looks sick with those colors. Like the low key color choice. Doing anything with the windows like a light tint? I've been trying to figure out how to incorporate the body mount with some Delrin rod to make a faux cage so it doesn't look like you put the efiel tower in the back.

Tamiya PS-41 (Bright Silver) on the inside, then Tamiya AS-6 (Olive Drab) on the outside.

Yeah the grille looks terrible like that, I'll have to do something for sure. Plus a ton of detail is missing, I just want to be able to run it as I finish...

Missing all kinds of detail, not very convincing. I'm more of a chassis/tuner by default, so this scale stuff is new to me. I figured I'd start with a simple scheme and then apply things as I learn from you guys.

Codyboy over in the Ascender section has been using zip-ties glued side by side to mimic radiators on several of his builds.

here is what it looks like before its trimmed to fit. you could also dry brush a little silver and brown into the grooves to mimic flaking off paint and dirt/mud caught in the fins.

Agreed. That is an awesome idea. Nice out of the box thinking and stupid cheap for a killer result.

Thats cool, with a little creative painting it'd look super scale behind the grill.

Wow...less than ten bucks for a metal grill? Pretty fair deal.

When you say you used “Super Clean” are you referring to the degreaser that comes in a purple spray bottle?
