That quickrun 1080 has a built in bec rated at 3 amps, you'll be fine with just that. I run a 500oz savox and that works great. Just remember that when you program it with the program card select 6 volts, the Traxxas mini servos and that power hd servo will more than likely let the smoke out if you set it for 7.4 volts. As for the extension lead, 6 inch / 15 cm should be just fine. Also pickup the metal TRX4 servo horn from either Traxxas, Samix, or Hot Racing...the Trx4 uses a odd 22mm spacing. The Traxxas, and Hot Racing horns only comes in 25t. If you go with a Samix be sure to get the 25t...they offer a couple different ones.
