Yeah, not feeling this one at all. Bronco body is still my favorite.

I can see this being their Slash version of the TRX-4 with multi-variant bodies.

Check out the Traxxas website on this one as well. They are coming out with a bunch of accessories for it, actually makes it look pretty cool!

Great body for bashing, not much for show but that could change when people get their hands on the clear one.

I like the price point. Locked diffs and single speed is back to basics, but a great option for the trx4 line up IMO.

Body accessories are kinda cool!

Re: TRX-4 Sport

When Traxxas came out with the diff spools and the single speed conversion I knew they would bring out a simple rig. I just wish they would have come out with a Unimog body instead, the nice thing with doing that is that it would work on the 312mm or the 324mm chassis.

I guess that’s why the diff spools have been on backorder everywhere.

Listed at $359 on the Traxxas site, so that will be $330ish in stores. This or a Honcho is kind of a no brainier.

I love it! They simplified it which is what a lot of people wanted. It’s a 12.3 wheelbase so it is pretty easy to swap bodies if you don’t like the pickup. I actually like the body although I would like to get one and put the Killerboddies LC 70 on it.

I like the simple make up of this but damn that generic truck body is just not appealing at all.

If they made it in kit form with no body (and cheaper) then we're talking, they could do their regular kit and a sport kit. That would be a pretty cool option.

Simplified bodiless kit without the electronics that I don't want? I'd go for it.

would you be able to add the 2-speed to this if you wanted? ( i dont own a TRX-4 and have never seen one up close...)

Just looking over the product page images and it seems like they've used the 2 speed housing and they've just plugged the shift fork hole, so in theory it should just need a handful of parts to get it functional. Though for how much $ is the big question, its often a lot more expensive to put together the individual parts than to buy the next model up knowing you'll be tearing out some parts.

Solid platform/ ugly bodies. People are gonna be doing some cool stuff to these trucks. Love or hate Traxxas... They're constantly doing their homework.

I love it. I even like the generic body. These features and $30 less than the Axial Cherokee RTR. Traxxas is going straight for the jugular.

Re: TRX-4 Sport

This is going to be a great truck. That price is right where it should be to take a big slice out of the market. Features are right, even down to the distinctively ugly body!

Now if only Traxxas will do a customer appreciation event like Axialfest I’d be in heaven. In fact, I was wishing beyond a star that when Hobbico tables and and Axial became available as a brand that Traxxas would snap it up. Run a “Traxxial” line of wicked crawling dominators.

A Traxxas fest would be pretty popular I bet. I suspect this version will attract a lot of the hard core drivers who complained about the TRX4 being too complicated.

Re: TRX-4 Sport

They once again proved how smart their marketing team is with this one - and the body from the front looks to me to be very similar to the 2016 RJ Anderson#37 Polaris RZR-Rockstar Energy Pro 2 Truck that you can drive in Forza Horizon 3 - and there are Traxxas skins for it...

I'm looking at the chassis pics and realizing that if I had one I'd remove the chassis sideplates, skids, and bumpers - put some metal aftermarket bumpers back on it, relocate the ESC and install my body of choice - could someone please release a larger-than Tamiya Unimog shell?

This might be the way I go.
The servos are the weak spot on the TRX. This is a game changer for me. I’ve wanted to do a 1.9, where to start and add. Portals are the draw for me as I loved them on my R1.
