Trx4 Sport build

This finally changed my mind on the TRX4. I have already ordered a bunch of brass and all the electronics to make it my own. I have finished the Proline Rubi body and have ordered the longer links to stretch the rear end. I just ordered the SWB fenders and am wondering if anyone has tried using them on a 12.8 wb build yet? I have been digging on this for about a month so far to make sure I have everything lined up when the truck is available. Any thoughts would be nice.

If you are talking about the inner fender kit I am using them with the proline 12.8 Jeep body. Had to do a little trimming but it turned out great.

That's exactly what I was looking for! Thanks
So far have brass portal cases,
brass shock mounts,
brass spring cups,
brass +3 hexs,
a Mamba Micro x,
a Tenshock 2400kv RC906,
Hot Racing Steel wagon wheels drilled to accept SLW hubs,
Brass SLW wheel weights,
Yellow GTS springs,
Scalerfab Prerunner front bumper,
Defender link kit,
Bronco inner fenders and front battery mount,
Aluminum rear bumper with spare tire mount,
Axial JRCOffroad roof rack,
Black aluminum front Chubs,
SS hardware set.

I have painted all of the brass flat black. I want this to be a bit of a sleeper.

Nice build, if you have any aluminum tape, put that on the body where the fenders are that way the foam will not rub the paint away over time.

A couple of things. The Mamba Micro X may be problematic with over heating since it is designed for lighter vehicles. Castle recommends the Mamba X for the TRX4. I'm not sure how you know where to place the inner fenders for trimming until you have them mounted on the chassis but I guess you will find out shortly. I also think you will find that the Defender inner fenders and independent shock mounts might have been a better choice over the Bronco inner fenders with integrated shock mounts. Just sayin.

The Mamba X would probably be better for the 2 speed in the other TRXs as that high gear puts a lot more strain on the power system. I already talked to Castle and as I will be pulling 17-24 amps max lil guy will have no problem especially since I will not be running the servos through it's bec. I run the same setup in my 9# SCX10.2 and even in the 100° temps we have been having, micro has no problem keeping up. I only trimmed the fenders for width, will probably have to trim a little more off the front and back of them.

Came together pretty nicely for a lot of fab before I had the truck. Still a lot to do but I am super happy so far! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...48bdad3003.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...75a52821c3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0f08ed297c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1f160926a1.jpg

Looking good "thumbsup"
If you want a wee bit more ground clearance, lift the sliders up using some aluminum spacers or what I did was use some nitro fuel line and just got the sliders snug, that way they will move and rock a few mm while still capturing the body.
