With Birthday gifts ready to go starting work on the JK. Really like the looks of it.

Got it all mounted up. Needed to use the rear bumper mount to start to get the look I was going for. That's when all the frustration set in and was almost ready to give up when I got to this point. To much gap for me taste.

Then a little voice from down south said F it... cut it...drill it...come on brother you got it...so that's what I did. A little surgery to the rails and major surgery to the mount

Tomorrow we will see if it all works out or if it ends up in the for sale section

Maybe next time you could use red heat shrink tubing.

Here's a better look at the Pitbull Vision X light bar

Not sure if I am completely sold on it. It says it is waterproof but don't like the fact that there is no protective cover over the LEDs. I don't do any sort of water so that isn't the problem just would like to see some protection. Next is the claim of 2-3 cell compatibility which I tried out with shocking results.
RC4WD 6" light bar on 6 volts

Pitbull Vision X 6" bar on 7.8 volts

After a long conversation with RRP Hobby I told that they needed to run on 3s only. I pointed out that not what is stated on website and was told their information comes from the manufacturer. So I was just a little ticked so when I got home I dug out my power supply and hooked it up. Big difference. Trailcat is about 5 ' from bench with light

Now I could keep it buy a small 3s to run it off as I don't own any 3s lipos only use 2s. Then build a plate to hold 3s and enjoy or send back get different bar and call it a day. Any thoughts stuck on the fence.

Got my ProMod servo in. So much better than the garbage Savox that's in my XJ. ProMod is quiet and centers with no problem

Started laying the groundwork for the sleeves. I don't feel that it's overwhelming the looks of the chassis

Can I ask where you get those sleeves?

Sure no problem
www.wirecare.com

It's actually really cheap for the amount you get. They have a large selection of colors. I heat up a razor blade and use it to cut the sleeve. If you use regular scissors it will fall apart. Also while you are there pick up some heat shrink. Again cheap and very good stuff.

So you've got two of them lol? I'm curious to see how you like the promodeler servo, I've been looking for opinions on those.

Yeah I have 2 of them after coming across a awesome deal on the second one. I really haven't tried the the ProMod other than on the bench. So far it is very quiet and seems to have the balls to turn the TRX4. It also looks very well constructed. Just the little I have tested it it out preformed my Savox in the XJ. That thing is noisy and struggling to center itself at times. I would recommend the ProMod over the Savox any day of the week.
