Thanks Schs, I don't own any of the other TRX4 models so not sure if there is fitment issues without the replacement bumpers for those models.. As far as the Sport model the winch will fit the original bumper and installs basically the same...the fairlead will only be the faux fairlead molded into the original bumper so I just took the enclosed fairlead on the new bumper and installed it on the original bumper...that gave me the option to keep my light bar above the winch instead of below the winch. Really wasn't fond of having the light bar be the lowest portion of the bumper with the recommended bumper. Below you can see I went back to the original bumper with fairlead from new bumper installed on it. ( truck on left) Also on that truck the bumper mount on frame is flipped over for extra clearance Sent from my moto z4 using Tapatalk |

What did I do to my trx4 today? Installed Team Corallz OC 27 servo. Looks nice, will see how it does. Then I secured my ESC with a ziptie, then proceeded to cut the power switch wire while trying to cut off the extra zip tie. Dumbass. |

Plugged my ESC backwards to the RX and fried the Throttle output..... RX powers, everything works except throttle. Throttle works on other channels as well as different RX. So I guess no polarity protection on the pulse pin?

That sucks and is a bad design. If mine were like that I'd probably have no Rxs left... If you can mix or reassign channels, send throttle to ch3 or somewhere |

Finally got around to slinging paint on the TRC hardbody. Mind the doo doo picture, it looks much better in person. After much learning with other bodies, I'm quite happy with how it's turned out so far. Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk |

I flopped it… and then gave it a good cleaning. Doesn’t really need anything done to it at the moment. |

I swapped in a new take off Sport trans from a track kit RTR. Outputs are phased correctly unlike the trans that came in my Sport. The tic tic tic tic is gone. So taking apart the original trans is on my to do list. Also put in a HH Crawlmaster Pro 550 10T with 9T pinion. Holy cow it is nice. I love it. Very smooth and excellent low speed control. Aside from the original motor, this is the first brushed that’s been in. I’m hooked. |

Installed a recovery strap this evening. Ran it through the fairlead in the front bumper and attached it to the front bumper mount. Initially I was going to wrap the cord over the body and attach it to the rear bumper. Then I started wondering if this would interfere when the performance of the rear bumper and also mess with approach angle. So, I use it as a rear body clip. Works just fine. Definitely slower than the actual DSM out of the front bumper to deploy and retract but still helps non the less. Last edited by Benp; 07-15-2021 at 04:06 AM. |

I dont know if the trx-6 is allowed in here.. But I painted a black G63 in the same ugly yellow color that I have on my LC And today I was out playing with them and taking some photos I might try to change the wheels on the trailer to some bigger ones.. |

So, When my front suspension is fully dropped out with the 110mm shocks, I get a bind. Starts going thunk thunk thunk. I started looking into driveshafts and noticed SSD’s operate at 50 degrees. Hmmm, that’ll do. So, it showed up yesterday and got it installed today. Cleaned off the packing oil and took the dremel with polishing wheel and jewelers rouge to the splines on the new driveshaft. Oh man, did that make the in and out of the driveshaft buttery smooth. Easy Install and can confirm it operates no issues at 50 degrees. No more binding. Very happy with it, only wish it was a touch longer. ETA - the first part of video is stock driveshaft and you can see the binding occur at full extension. 2nd part is full extension with SSD driveshaft and no binding even with less than ideal angle. https://youtu.be/trcdzgvaKd8 Last edited by Benp; 07-19-2021 at 10:15 AM. |

| Re: What did you do to your TRX-4 today? Axles regreased and now the truck is so queit. As compared to with almost no grease. One upgrade is coming to the local hobby shop. A slipper clutch eliminator. And back to 90mm shocks as opposed to 110mm. Now to set the preload and it will be running. |

First video with the HH CrawlMaster Pro 550 10T with 9t pinion, SSD front driveshaft and installed VS410 rear bumper into flipped mount. Setup is great! I love the motor and now hooked on good brushed motors. So much that I want a HH Magnum Stubby for my Gspeed to replace the 2000kv Yellowjacket currently in there. The Crawlmaster Pro’s low speed control is excellent and also pleased with the lack of noise compared the previous brushless setups. The Mamba X might be overkill for a brushed motor but I’m not complaining. Works awesome and I really wasn’t wanting to give up my throttle and reverse curves for a HW1080. The SSD front driveshaft has eliminated the front driveline binding issue I was having when the front 110mm shocks were fully extended. The departure angle improvement from flipping the rear bumper mount and carving the body to fit the vs410 rear is fantastic. I don’t know why I waited so long to trim the body to fit the bumper. Here’s the video. My apologies for the loud bugs, gear whine, noisy servo and quasi quality video. Hard to see what I’m videoing in the phone mount with a privacy screen on the phone. https://youtu.be/fPFtmO88PCo |
