Question What are these screw posts for??

Those are the mounts for the Traxxas 8028 power supply which is used to power the Traxxas 8030 light kit. The 8028 power supply also is powered by the red JST plug you asked about earlier.

Ok cool... if I'm going to install the mytrickRc light kit do I still need that plug? If not can I wire the plug up to my BEC for my servo?

Actually it depends on which MyTrickRC controller you choose to buy. The DG-1 or the UF-7. I think the DG-1 can use that JST plug or direct to the balance plug of a 2s or 3s battery. The UF-7 is connected to ch2 of the RX (optionally also ch1) and is powered at 6v from the RX. I used the JST plug to power my BEC until I changed ESCs.

Not relative to OP's inquiry but I used the jst connector on mine to directly power my HH shv500v2.

Ok cool... Also what are your guys takes on filling your BEC with hot glue to waterproof them?

It may work for a while, but as it heat cycles it will be less effective.
I'd highly suggest some conformal coating or heat shrink with adhesive. 3M 3:1 is what I use.
