| trx-4 tactical
I got a trx-4 tactical in a trade today. I have 2 questions, are the springs or shock oil or both really stiff. What is needed to change the wheel base to 12.3/ 313 so I can use some of the body's I already have. Thanks

Traxxas sells a kit that includes the links, a half shaft, chassis mounted wheel wells and a front battery plate. https://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/tra8058.htm Check the shock oil level, if there is too much oil that can cause them to be too stiff and not cycle properly. Might change oil and drop to a 20 wt. Traxxas offers 5 spring rates, I believe the tactical has the green stripe and the no stripe springs. I run the white and orange stripes with 20 wt oil and they are perfect for me. Since you are new to the rig,, save the kit manual for reference, the only difference between the kit and the tactical is the kit has the wheel wells on the chassis. https://traxxas.com/sites/default/fi...Manual-WEB.pdf |
