That's great to see releases of bodies, but i wish traxxas would of made all the windows clear. One of the things that bug me about my defender body.

They are clear... I mean they're tinted pretty dark but at least they're not stickers.

It looks good in that color and the tinted windows are also great.

I particularly prefer these wheels to the standard ones on the other Defender TRX-4s, but I'd peel that "Traxxas Trophy" decal right off, and replace it with an authentic Camel trophy one.

And I'd immediately paint the roof either white or black. Love it otherwise, my fave factory TRX-4 Defender paint job yet.

Wonder if they will eventually release that wheel in white and black as well?

durok- Same for me. I'd peel that side badge and windshield banner right the hell off of there and then badge it properly with the authentic CT graphics.

Also those wheels look good but only b/c they're color matched and molded after the real deal. Since they're plastic I would think that up close, they'd look a little "toy-ish". Man... white or black roof, Camel Trophy graphics, and white or black steel wheels with scale lugs... 100% win!

If I picked it up, after changing the decals & painting the roof, I'd spray the body and wheels with matte clear.

Maybe after treating the wheels to a light wash with black to make the lug nuts "pop" a bit.

(and would mask the windows beforehand, of course...)

6Tan is a great color for a defender. Is it the photo, my eyes or does that tan have an orange tint?

As Durok suggested. It needs a white top

I'll bet if you backed it w/black from the inside it would make the tan look better...

I much prefer my Ascender RTR K10 yellow body with matte clear on the outside and black on the inside.

Keeps the sun from shining through the body!

It's actually amazing how well the matte clear can kill the glare from the brighter colors laid on the inside. Ot also worked well on the f100 orange body. I might try the black backing as well. I would be curious to see the effect.

The TRX4 is a tempting rig to be sure. If all of the interesting Cross RC builds weren't tempting me as well...

As much as I find the Bronco TRX-4 to be probably the most stunning out-of-the-box trail truck ever released, if I ever manage to score a TRX-4 it will likely be a Defender, simply because the Bronco to me is too pretty to bang up! Land Rovers are SERIOUS trucks, function over form... You can build them in so many different ways. That being said, I WOULD like to see someone cut the roof off a Bronco with a full interior, but again I'm afraid it would end up being a shelf queen if I got my hands on one.

Is that a matte finish? It almost looks like it's painted on the outside.

I recently forked out some dough for the Limited Edition Adventure Edition body(orange), and I'm a little disappointed with it. Going forward, if I want a particular color, I'll just paint up my own. It is neat that they're releasing new editions, but I'll just make do with what I have. Great option for a TRX-4 newbie, though!

Yes, that would be awesome, but it's insanely cost prohibitive to come out with lots of body options.

Let's see, in the approximately 18 months since the release of the TRX4, Traxxas has offered the Defender, Tactical, Bronco and Sport bodies. That is a new body about every 4.5 months. Different paint schemes are a great way to keep up interest levels in between body releases. I anticipate some new colors for the Bronco as well. Would love to see a Red/White Bronco.
