| TRX lift kit
Has one made a lift kit for the TRX other then traxxas? I added 100mm shocks and I can get 2.2s on but it doesn’t seem to articulate like it did before. The traxxas lift kit just seems like it cost a lot for what it is.

You'll find just adding longer springs will screw up the way the suspension works. The kit includes longer shocks, springs, driveshafts, links, and cables, and lowers the servo to maintain proper suspension and steering geometry. This is why it costs so much. But I would like another company to come out with a kit for this which would be much cheaper. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk |

I agree pieterv. The parts you get doesn’t seem like it’s worth the price. If another company came out with one there would be a little competition. I guess maybe in time other company’s will look into it. For now I’ll just run what I’ve got.

Here's mine, I lifted the front and rear bumpers and then the body. Gives excellent clearance without the hastles of weird geometry. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk |

Yea that adds a bunch of room. Have you put 2.2 on to see how they fit? Does it seem to make it more top heavy or any other adverse effects? Doesn’t look like it but some times you go to do something and find out that it won’t work out.

I haven't out 2.2 on yet. I'm thinking about doing it. I was told it would be too top heavy, but without the roof basket and with the truck bed chop it proves to be fine. Here's a photo to show how much it can withstand without rolling over, that's about the limit. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk |

Wow not bad I may give this a try. 100mm shocks didn’t do the trick hopefully this will. I will have to post back with some pictures.

Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk Put the front bumper mount on the back upside down, and the back bumper mount on the front upside down. This will make sure both sides are lifter the same amount. You will need to trim the rear mount to fit the front upside down. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk Last edited by THX_138; 11-14-2018 at 08:31 AM. Reason: Merged, posts a minute apart | |
