The stinger is hideous but I don't hate the rest of it as much as I normally hate these cheap cages. This one looks halfway decent.

This should be called the Mullet. Business in the front. Party in the back.

Like: Looks businesslike, hinged electronics tray cover (could be altered for easier access with pins instead of screws though), lots of shock mounting options, looks well finished, dead easy to throw on 2.2 wheels. Not so sure: Weight - 1.82 KG, electronics are up pretty high, no body or interior parts available - yet. Don't like: My wife won't let me buy it - yet. Easy enuff to lop off that stinger and add a cross support if needed.

I found the one on Facebook too and it doesn't look great but then his wiring is messy and the photos were taken on a cluttered bench. One interesting thing that I noticed is that the stock battery tray fits so my BowHouse LCG tray should be okay too. The stock receiver box looks okay on the front electronics tray as well. Itching. I'm trying hard to think of how to attach some body panels to clean up the look a little bit.

I have a couple of questions I have been mulling over while considering buying this cage. To help push the CoG forward I would increase the wheelbase by using longer links in the rear. Is there a good driveshaft available with an extra 15-20mm of reach? Would the new Holmes Hobbies 4274 Puller Pro (Smooth edition) motor fit up front? I have a similar sized 1515 Castle in 2200KV but I would expect the HH motor to have better slow control. That motor is just a little too large in diameter and won't fit as it hits the frame rails. The heavier motor would also help move the CoG forward. |

I know this is obviously an old thread, but has anyone yet to complete one of these to where they can post a picture of it?
