Trx4 sport motor

I have a HH torqmaster 540 45t motor. Im sticking with the single speed setup. Will this motor work well for the sport? Also what pinion should I use?

Sorry I can't help, but it's sad to see that this thread has had 160 views and nobody here has an answer for this guy?

Pick up a H.H. 21t 550 for $20, it's what I hear is a good motor, not sure on the 540 though

I think stock gearing is 39/17. That will probably be fine unless you have added a ton of weight. It would be a good idea to have a lower tooth pinion on hand to swap out if the motor starts getting hot. With the 39 tooth spur, the lowest you can go is 15 on pinion. If you need to go lower than that, you will have to swap out the spur.

I ordered a HH 550 45t with a 9t pinion.. I only crawl on rocks. I was also trying to accomplish longer runtimes as I am using 1500 3s packs..

I'm running a HH Torquemaster 550 21t in a TRX Kit, with 8/45 gearing and the 2 speed, and I get a little over an hour and a half out of a 1300 3s pack. Don't forget, the TRX needs a reverse-rotation motor, so wire it backwards. ;-)
