Default Video of homemade paddle tires in snow

Usually I prefer a more scale truck, but it gets old getting stuck so easy so I through this together quick. I’ll have to cut up another old body next time so there’s atleast something on there. Anything realistic obviously would rub the tires. Could use some more offset too for steering angle.

Looks like they work real good!

Sounds like your pinion mess is off a bit. My TRX4 used to be loud like that til I got the mesh sorted out. Just an observation.

^The gear mesh is fine I believe. The noise is from either the Mip driveshafts or the alloy motor mount. Maybe both, but I agree it is much louder than when it was stock.

^Yep, with regular tires and the current snow depth it’s more like drive forward 1” then back up and go again. Once i get a trail going I’ll start going down in tire size to be more scale.

^It was given to me as scrap, but if I had to guess I’d say uhmw. It is 1/8” and I can bend it without it breaking. I cut it with tin snips.
