Ok, here are the pics of the wider inner fenders I cut to fit with the Samix shock towers. I made an aluminum plate to bolt to the front fender and to the chassis. I used a lock nut on both screws. On the back side I drilled a small hole and put a zip-tie to hold it solid. With the front battery tray/brace installed, it ties it all together. On the rear I was able to leave the rear mount. I drilled a hole in the top in between the original shock mounts to run the top shock bolt thru into the Samix shock tower. Here is a pic of the front. You can see how I made the cuts to fit the Sport body. |

Nice fab work B! The zip tie idea is a good one too. Thanks for sharing Made some legit progress yesterday and the truck is now driving under its own power! I decided to go with the Hobbywing AXE system this time around. I was going to keep this to a HW1080 and HH trailmaster, but I’ve decided to put that into the TF2, and upgrade the sport. Here’s a clip of the slow crawling, feels good in the living room test, nice and quiet for a change. The Bluetooth connection to the esc for programming is great. Snapshot of the app below (not connected to an esc in the photo). https://www.instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxp...=1hyen859923jw Hopefully I’ll get paint knocked out today and get it out in the wild! |

It’s alllmost done! I’ll have some proper pictures in a bit after buttoning up the body, but here’s one for now that shows the accessories. I didn’t like how toy-like the axe and the shovel were. Swapped out the axe for another I had on hand; and took a chrome pen and some shrink wrap to the shovel. Not perfect, but better. |

Bumpers and body mounts set and all done! Overall this was a great kit. So well designed and thought out. My biggest gripe is the two clips that hold each mirror on. I don’t understand why they are so big, angled, and silver. That’s small peanuts to complain about though so I consider that a win if that’s the worst part about a build. With the bronco inner fenders the stock body mount would not line up with the precut holes, luckily the mount fits perfectly on the shock towers and some good ole shoe goo has a nice strong hold on it. The White is matted out. The silver is painted under the lexan and not matte so it’s a shiny pop in person. The black and red are vinyl pinstriping for now. Final parts list: Trx4 sport kit Hobbywing Axe 2300kv combo Bronco Inner Fenders Yeah racing axle housings Rc4wd ARB diff covers SSD 1.9 double time beadlocks SSD brass wheel hubs x 4 SSD Black scale hubs Samix brass portal covers in front Crawler innovation lil nova foams Cut traxxas canyon crawlers b-mow style Thanks for following along. Finally got out to test the trx4 sport on some real rocks. Overall the truck did well but the suspension is too soft so I’m going to try a couple spring options. The cage adds a good bit of weight as Jato demonstrated with his scale, and it was obvious when crawling. I like the looks of it though so it’s going to stick around for now. Also have an overdrive gear set for the front. I’ll try the same line after installing for a comparison. Clip at the link below, and some shots from yesterday. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bv6yYTZH...=1u55ccgypd81d |

Man, that rig looks fantastic! Color-matched diff cover to accent stripe... subtle and sweet. Seems a shame that the sand ramps are orange, they are the only thing that clashes! |

May have to take a look at shooting the ramps red, or maybe a silver or black if that doesn’t work out. Hmm... | |

Or wait until these come back in stock: https://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/rc4z-s1834.htm I have these on my Defender, but they're kinda heavy: https://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/gea1172.htm and I have made some myself out of the snap-out panels from computer drive bays - heavy, too as they are steel... |

| Re: Danza builds a submudder Which bumpers are those? I had to pull the stock bumpers off my Defender because they are such a limiting factor and am looking for some clean looking high clearance ones like those.

I'm not sure how your last updates slipped by me! Sport turned awesome Danza! The body with the accent strips look really good. I'm liking those ARB diff covers. I may have to pick me up a set. Nice pics! |
