That paint is sick, Danza! You're killing it with builds lately.

The body with the accent strips look really good. I'm liking those ARB diff covers. I may have to pick me up a set.

Nice pics!

Well, you all know how I am about bodies. I picked up a raptor body in a trade and wanted to get something on the sport without the weight of the rear cage. Since the sport body has holes all over it, this seemed like a good home. Sliders were surprisingly a perfect fit.

Tried for a fairly stock look with the tamiya metallic blue as it seemed close to what ford offered. Sort of a quick and dirty job but came out alright.

Wow Danza, that Raptor looks good on there! It looks the body was designed especially for the TRX-4. I love that color blue. I don't have a metallic blue rig in my garage yet, so I may have to give that color a try.

You guys rock. I appreciate the kind words and encouragement

After a long weekend of moving I was able to get out with the local crew for a few hours yesterday.

Took the sport out and also the 10.2. I didn’t want to go back to the car to switch so I took a page out of JRH’s book and strapped a couple remotes together. It worked out better than I thought and wasn’t really a pain at all to drive both trucks. The straps loosened a couple times and the GT5 transmitter fell a good 30-50 feet but was perfectly fine thankfully

Man, the Raptor looks even better out on the rocks! Sweet video! It's cool watching your Jeep make some crazy lines.

I totally forgot about watching Mr. Holmes strap his radios together. I'm gonna have to try that sometime.

Lol well, you all know how I am about bodies

I’ve had this K10 sitting around for weeks now and wanted to get it painted up before Proline by the fire. The sport was the best chassis for it because it needed the least work for a good fit so here we go...

Masking didn’t come out cleanly sadly, tried a new tape I got off amazon and was disappointed. It doesn’t look too bad though. I’ve wanted to do a paint scheme that’s similar to this tonka truck that my brothers and I played with growing up, which has been passed on to my nephews who love it.

Here she is...

Love the body and the retro look! Cool to see the Tonka version. I had one of them too way back in the day. Me an my sister also had the big Blazer looking Tonka's. Mine was black and hers was pink.

Can't wait to see the Chevy pics from By The Fire!

Thanks B-Mow! Tonka trucks were so cool back in the day, all metal and stuff. I’ll definitely take a lot of pics at plbtf.

Hoping to get an interior in here before next weekend.

Okay back the sport body, Friday night at Proline by the fire there’s going to be a night run put on by team associated. Instead of dealing with wiring up my own I ordered the power shift rc kit for what I felt was a a good deal at $15.

Got the lights installed and headed out for a sunset run with a few locals. I think the body looked great lit up, traxxas did a nice job with the head and tail light lenses. They’re getting 7.4v and aren’t super bright but I have a headlight for myself that gets the job done as well.

Pics below. The 212 themed 10.2 has the dead loc portals on it, it did pretty well out there I was impressed.

I do like how the lights look in the Sport. Traxxas did no a good job on the design. I've been debating on getting a set for mine.

You may want to get a set of the Powershift rock lights too. They are designed to bolt right into the inner fenders. I bet when that big bright light in the sky goes down that it will pretty dark out there. I just bought a set of them rock lights, but have not had a chance to hook them up yet.

Time for an update here...

Got the interior in and took it out for a little trailing. Decided to throw the C10 on the 10.2 and made it a shelf queen Saturday. I lost the plates on both of them somehow, hopefully I’ll find them tomorrow.

Hey there! Wow I'm in love with those ARB Covers and the YR axles...hubba hubba lol As someone who recently did a bunch of taping on these Sport bodies the clean lines you managed to get with that detailed job are amazing! Need to start upping my game a bit with some detail work and new parts too.

I've been wanting to cut and sipe my tires too...Do you have a link to B-MOW's tutorial? Assuming there is one.

Thank you! The red and black on the sport are actually just vinyl pin striping. I still struggle with masking lines at times, this was one of them but I’m going to paint the stripes on the outside down the road.

For the tires, there’s no tutorial. Most of us just cut out the center lugs and then you can take it a step further like bmow did and take a dremel to the remaining lugs and add a siping. It’s a tedious process but the results are well worth the effort.
