Two questions; 1. How would high clearance knuckles not let you able to use the Rallye Chevy wheels? What exact knuckles are you talking about? 2. Is your power shift Light Kit fully waterproof? It looks a lot cheaper than the Traxxas one, but am wondering what would happen if it's submerged, as I like to do with my trucks. Thanks |

1. The steering arms on the knuckles would rub the tires when they were installed. After looking at it the tires were rubbing even with the stock knuckles and arms. You would need a wider hub to run them which I didn't feel like trying to figure out since the hubs came with the wheels so I just switched to a different wheel. They may not have rubbed with a slightly narrower tire. I can post a pic when I get home. 2. I'm not sure if the light kit is waterproof or not nor am I very concerned about it being that way as I don't submerge my rigs. I can post a link to the kit once I get home. |

Hey JDM, Ended up getting the Traxxas Light Kit on my Blazer and it works great. I have a question. I was thinking of getting brass diff covers for my Blazer and I see you went with the ARB aluminum ones. Any reason you went with these over brass which would add more weight? Also do your covers enable the lockers to switch okay. Lastly I see you have black, but ARB makes the red covers too. I have the same truck as yours (body), and was wondering what you think the red diff covers would look like? |

As promised, some pics of the new body. It matches my 1:1 GMC pretty good I think. 77253956_10159021941724278_3350290527734988800_o by JASON MCKIMMEY, on Flickr 76793167_10159021941764278_7870141783072571392_o by JASON MCKIMMEY, on Flickr 75088350_10159021941544278_5677886691604430848_o by JASON MCKIMMEY, on Flickr 1:1 86 GMC pickup Untitled by JASON MCKIMMEY, on Flickr |

Body arrived today so I mounted it up to see how it looks. Still have a few minor things to do like install the lighting kit and put on the logos and vent windows but I think it turned out pretty darn good and is a good rendition of my 1:1 GMC. Untitled by JASON MCKIMMEY, on Flickr |

I used 8mm wide hexes on the axles I believe. If that doesn’t work, cut the threaded part of the axle back a little with a dremel.

Was that body painted by Jason McKimmey? Does he do custom paint jobs? I didn't see any mention of custom painted bodies on his link.

Well, I am Jason McKimmey, lol. That body (as well as all my bodies) are painted by MR Painting. He does great work. PM me if you want more info.

Do you know if you can use the stock traxxas center caps with the RC4wd rallys? Brad |

No you cannot. They would interfere with the bolts that hold the hub to the back of the wheel.

Wow that paint scheme is excellent! Nailed it with the 1:1. Nice build you have there. |

Very cool paint scheme to match your 1:1. The OG Rock Beats also look great. I would have thought those tires would have been too small for this body, but they definitely aren't. If only Pitbull would release the OG's in the Alien Kompound.
