Anybody got any good scale tire suggestions? I was looking at the RC4wd Iroc's because they are the right diameter and pretty dang scale. Seems a little tough to find a 4.65ish tall tire.

It is tough to find a tire that size. I am using KLRs on my Bronco. They aren't off-the-shelf scale, but they are made to look like cut Trepadors.

4.65 is scale? that seems HUGE to me, but then i just realized the monster tires they put on these TRX4's and now that seems modest haha

looking good so far! great idea on those oem chevy beadlocks!

I mean, I am up for running a smaller tire but I think the wheel well cut outs are opened up for the stock size tires so I'm not sure how much smaller I can go without it looking silly. I was also looking at the OE pit bull rock beasts which are I think some where around 4.5ish tall.

Really just looking for what people are running on their Broncos because I think the wheel wells are about the same size as the Blazer's.

Finally got the truck today and wasted no time starting the mods. Servo is installed and HW1080 is installed as well. Waiting on a 3" servo wire extension for the ESC. Surprisingly, the servo lead was plenty long to reach the RX box. Don't mind the bullet connectors, they will be heat shrinked before it is turned on for the first time.

Servo required no elongating of holes to fit like I have read on here multiple
times.

So I took my wheels and tires off my Ascender and put them on to see how they look. They are Vanquish KMC's with OE rock beasts. I like the smaller size tire and the tuck on the wheels. I also lowered the suspension down by taking all the preload out of the shocks. Might need to see if I can make a slightly shorter panhard bar to center the axle at ride height. It's not off by much but I can tell and it will bother me forever if I don't fix it. So what do you guys think about the tire size and ride height? I have some RC4wd rally wheels that I am going to run.

Tire and ride height look fine. It’s a pretty subtle change imo.

It looks good. Rally wheels would look perfect.

I'm curious to see how well those RC4WD wheels sit on the TRX-4 axles in regard to their backspacing and overall stance. I just picked up the orange and white K5 last weekend. I'm in the process of yanking the electronics in favor of the same steering servo as yours, as well as a Mamba X and 2400kv sensored brushless motor. I've got a set of regular size Rock Beasts that I want to run on mine but I like the rally style wheels, so I'm glad someone makes them in a beadlock. I kinda dig the stock tires, but I'm also adding some brass portal covers on all four corners, so I figure the added weight will do the stock foams in.

Yup, you nailed it alright. The 4.5 tires look perfect in relation to the wheel wells. Nice update!

Took it out for its maiden voyage and stripped the stock servo horn in about 20 minutes. I can already tell it is more capable than anything I have mostly because of the ground clearance of the portals. I was very surprised where it went with open diffs.

On to the pics.

The factory metal arm that comes with the sport kit is actually kinda hard to find in stock right now. I managed to find it on Ebay. The Al horn that came with the servo has 2 positions neither of which line up with the stock horn.

Metal servo arm installed today. Waiting on rain to go away for testing.

I think every TRX-4 owner says that at some point.

Looks GREAT!!!! I seriously love the RC4WD wheels. Keep in mind that Traxxas now sells optional springs for the GTS shocks which allows you to play with spring rates and really dial in the suspension to your driving style and terrain.

Looks like a tooth on the servo is all bent?

Truck looks good. Not sure how the RC4WD center caps mount but definitely wondering if the ones from the stock wheels fit onto them? That would look killer.
