I just built mine, so no i havent, but i had read reviews and it seemed like a lot of folks said it hurt the crawling performance due to the extra height but had more articulation.

I don’t need these. They increase the CG.

Does anyone know the extended and compressed length of the shocks that come with this long arm lift kit?

It looks like the shocks for the lift kit are 110mm extended, but I cannot find info on them compressed. Can anyone who has the kit take a look? It sounds like they have spacers to prevent them from full collapsing. EDIT: Ok I think I have this sorted out. The shocks are def 110mm long extended(see here: https://traxxas.com/sites/default/fi...-Box-PRESS.pdf). So with that in mind I also found TRA8161 which are the Long GTS specific shock shaft and are 57mm. The regular GTS shaft(TRA8263) is 47mm. So the long shocks are 20mm longer total, with a 10mm longer shaft, which means the body is also 10mm longer. My educated guess is that the shocks are: Extended: 110mm Collapsed without bump stops: 75mm Stock shocks: Extended: 90mm Collapsed without bump stops: 65mm So you pick up 10mm of travel with these. I’ve got a Sport that I threw the lift kit on with 2.2 Swamper XLs. Looks killer, crawls crappy. Lol. My stock Sport on Canyons crawls WAY better. I might try to long travel it and put much smaller 2.2s on it to see how I like that. We’ll see. |
