Changing the pinion gear of Sport kit to 9t

I'd like to change the pinion gear of my Sport kit from the stock one to a 9t. However should i also change my 35T motor to a 21 or 23 for example? I'm afraid that a 9t pinion with a 35T motor will make the truck too slow :p

Do you already have the 45t spur? The stock sport spur will not allow the 9t pinion.
As far as speed, yes it will be pretty slow, like way slower.

No i don't but i ordered it along with the pinion gear and the slipper rebuild kit. I actually decided to get the 11t pinion and see how it runs with the 35T motor.

I just put in a 12T on my 21T HH Trail
Master Sport motor. It seems pretty good. Maybe a fast walking pace at WOT.

It will be slow, but it is great for slow crawling!
