Yeah I guess it's a little early in the year for those biting/ sucking little demons lol. Unfortunately they're really ramping up down here with so much recent rain and warm temps.

Glad that the crawling community is thriving up there even if it's a short drive to meet up. I'm lucky to have one or two guys to run with at any given time. I told my wife that we need to make a couple kids in order for me to have a crew lmao.

I regret not getting my kids in the hobby when they were little. I got out of the hobby before I got married and jumped back into the hobby after they were grown.

Ok, here is the rest of Course #1:





























This was one of the longest courses/trails that I have been on. It took about 2.5 hours to complete. It had everything from creek water, mud, rocks, wooden bridges, tree roots, tree bridges and others that I'm forgetting to mention. This course was my favorite to run.

The cleanup afterwards looks like much less fun though. That’s a lot of mud!

Thanks Danza! It was a ton of fun and mud! Cleanup wasn't too bad Saturday night. I threw the Sport in the shower at the hotel room. Once I got home I just used the garden hose to spray it off. The nice thing about these inner fenders and chassis design is that the inside under the body stays fairly clean.

The Sport did awesome! I was really impressed with the stock Canyon Trail tires. After cutting and siping them, they didn't clog up with mud too bad. The had plenty of grip on the wet, muddy & slippery rocks and wood structures. A buddy of mine running a Sport similar to mine was running Hyrax's and IMO the Canyon's outperformed them. Don't get me wrong, I love my Hyrax and they have always been my goto tire, but I believe the Canyon's modded are by far a better tire.

There were a wide variety of awesome rigs there. There were many of the top brands such as Traxxas and Axial. I saw a few Gen 8's and CrossRC's too. The guys from Team GCM Racing from Canada were there with all their super scale awesome rigs as well. It's always fun to see them in person and to see their rigs out on the trail. Chris from GCM posted a video on YouTube a few days ago. You should check it out!

Thanks Walsh! It's such a blast to go to and it's not too far from home.

I would definitely recommend checking it out next year! It is a fun full weekend of tiny trucking!

If you haven't been to Team KNK TTC comps in Lebanon, Ohio down by Kings Island yet, you should check it out. It is also a great time and draws in hundreds of trucks. It's coming up next month. June 7,8 and 9.

I know how hot an muggy it gets here in Ohio, I can only imagine how sticky and buggy it gets down in the Kentucky wilderness.

I've never been to Red River Gorge, but it sounds like an awesome place. Once a year I travel down to the New River Gorge area in WV for my wife's family reunion. It's such a beautiful place with a ton of places to go tiny truckin'. I've never taken my rigs down there with me, but one of these trips I will.

Sorry so late on any updates. Life has been pretty crazy lately!

So, after completing Course #1, it started raining and we decided to take a break and wait out the rain cloud that was passing by.

Here are the pics of Course #2:
















It's hard to tell from the next 2 pics, but this was a steep descent down to the creek and then back up the other side. It was really slick, so I decided to stay on this side of the hill and drive up the other side and drive the Sport from a distance. I eventually crossed the creek farther down the trail where it was an easier crossing.






This bridge here was out of commission. I believe the trail used to cross here last year.






This was a cool bridge that was usable and got us back to the other side of the creek.












This was the end of the "switch back" section. It was a short trail that we had to drive with our transmitters in the opposite hand. It made for some interesting driving. Luckily there weren't any gates here that were close together as I didn't have to much practice steering with my left hand.





This was a fairly long course like course #1. I believe it took about 2 hours to complete. Probably would have been a little quicker, but the muddy conditions kept the speeds down.

Thanks Jim! Yeah, they really did a great job on these trails. There are many miles of trails they created with many manmade obstacles. Wait till you see what they did in the pics coming soon!

Yeah, muddy but fun. Though I do prefer dry trails and rocks. But all this mud made me drive and approach obstacles in a different way!

Here is another shot of the bridge. You can somewhat see the Sport crossing the bridge. The giant human in the pic might help with the scaleness!

Hey thanks Max!

I used Tamiya PS-63 Bright Gun Metal backed with Tamiya white and then a couple coats of Tamiya Black to darken the inside of the body.

Most hobby shops do not carry this color so you may have to special order it.

Nope, the orange is another special order color!

It is Tamiya PS-62 Pure Orange. I backed it the same way I backed the silver.
