I've been trying to come up with a paint scheme for my stock trx4 sport Body, until I saw yours. I usually just paint my trucks one solid color, i.e. Black, Blue, etc. I'm bored with just one color and want to try something different. I like how the gunmetal is darker than an actual silver. Looks much better with the orange in my opinion. It's a sharp paint job and stands out in the crowd. Sent from my LM-G710VM using Tapatalk |

Yeah, this bright gunmetal is darker than silver and lighter than the normal gunmetal. It is kinda the in between color. The normal gunmetal looks good, but was too dark for what I wanted and almost looked black. This shade of gunmetal is my favorite! It defiantly stands out and that is what I was shooting for!

I dig the roll bar on your truck. Is it homemade? How did you attach it to the truck, or is it just attached to the body only? Sent from my LM-G710VM using Tapatalk |

It attaches to just the body. The roll bar is pre-threaded and bolts in from under the body.

| Re: B-MOW takes the Sport to Beat The Creek! Yeah, it helps to add a little extra something to this body. I've put it through hell and it has taken a beating without any bending or breaking. The body has held up well too where it is mounted. I have not had any body cracking at all.

That sounds like a good plan! These roll bars sell out quickly, so you may have to check on availability. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So since Beat The Creek 2020 has been postponed until this September, I haven't taken the time yet to get the Sport ready. Sadly it has been sitting in the garage since BTC 2019 a year ago. This past weekend I blew the dust off of it and spent a little quality time with it. Over the winter I had pulled the 3Bros Atlas servo winch out of it and put it in my VS4-10 PRO. At the beginning of the year I picked up the 3Bros Overlander servo winch to put in the Sport, but never actually took the time to put it in until now. Last week Greatscott designed and uploaded a servo winch mount for the TRX-4 and 6x6 onto Thingiverse. It is designed to fit in between the front inner fenders where the stock battery tray/support is located. Big thanks to Greatscott for sharing the file on Thingiverse! The servo winch mount printed great and fit right in without any issues. I bolted up the new Overlander servo winch and ran the winch line thru the front bumper mount and out the front bumper. Since the spool sits so low in the chassis, I couldn't use the fairlead in the stock bumper, so I had to drill a hole in the front bumper near the bottom. It's not really what I had in mind, but it will work for now until I decide if I want to replace the bumper. I forgot to snap a pic of the front of the front bumper, so I'll have to get one and post it up. Still need to run the wiring and get the winch fired up. More to come later! |
