| Question about Locking Diff and Underdrive
I've got a TRX4 Sport, and my friend has a TRX4 Defender. His has locking diffs, mine doesn't. He wants a locked front diff and i want a locking/unlocking rear. So, my question is: Can i remove his front diff, and use it in my rear axle with my underdrive gear? Hope that makes sense. I did do a search but couldn't find a definitive answer |

Can’t think of any reason as to why this wouldn’t work, thinking you’ll be good to go

Great, thanks. I suspected as much, but don't yet have his axle to take apart |

You will each have the best of both worlds. The front never gets unlocked on mine but the rear gets opened often as needed.

The only issue you might have is that the rear cable is longer than the front so you may need to buy a rear cable. You will also need a transmitter that can control that channel. The Sport TQ transmitter will not work for this.

Aah good point. Although I'll be relocating the servo so could just move it to suit the front cable I guess.

As OP stated, moving the locker control servo may negate need for different difflock cable. | ||
