The limb risers would have been my first mod too. Like the product but it looked way too top heavy and blocky. I was afraid of buying one for the cool scale body then getting mad and ripping the body off after it got hung up. Great idea!

Welcome to the site and to this awesome hobby!

I saw you were from Westchester and was hoping it was PA. But looking at your photos and seeing the cars it appears you're in the UK.

DIY mods are what this hobby is all about. Nice work.

In theory should help with branches, haven't tested it out in the real world, hoping to get some time tonight after work.

Not quite as far as UK, but not PA either. Located in NY a little north of NYC

So did you get a chance for real world testing? How did the shakedown run go?

Took it for a short run last night by my apartment, didn't have to many chances to really test them out to know for sure, but the couple bushes i skimmed and what not seemed to help. Ill be taking it out alot this weekend up at my brothers farm, ill check back in with an update and pictures.

Had a bit of fun up at my brothers farm over the weekend, although it turned into more of a work weekend so didn't get to much crawling in.

Buchhop2- I found that while the limb risers helped, i did not put enough tension on them or maybe i did not seat the ferrules tight enough and started to bend the wire. currently on the hunt for super tiny turnbuckles.

-hard to see as i had to brighten the photo, but the passenger limb riser was starting to get bent. will have to figure out a way to tighten them.

Do you have any close ups or instructions on how you got the limb risers attached to the body?

Tried installing some today and cracked the lexan Really bummed out about it, but want to know how I could have done it better.

Technically, those limb risers are for looks. After all you are anchoring them to thin plastic. Just sayin.

Of course, but they'll still be on a truck that's going to be hitting things and rolling over, etc. Does anything special need to be done to prevent the lexan from cracking?

You can get a Bowhouse LCG battery tray and lower that battery to get it out of the way more and help with your performance a bit.

Yes looking into that, however i do have to leave some room for the cantilever since on full compression it does poke above the frame a bit.

i have torn apart the little progress i made on the flatbed in search of a better route, was not satisfied with how i attached the boards together and it ended up not being square. back to the drawing board.
