Jiminy freakin' Cricket! Chris, I thought you were completely jokin' around in the other thread when you mentioned this... Portals make all the difference in the world for this release vs the Axial - although I am now psyched for the Capra after Rich mentioned increased quality plastics and better tolerances, too. Nifty wheels, too - and the tires are different, too - I really like the detail of those tiny traction "diamonds" at the edge of the sidewalls... And the front under-bumper skid is actually aluminum, not plastic (nice touch - although I do realize it's also metal on the 4x4 - but this is SO much more, well... EVERYTHING!). This appeals to me much MUCH more than the 4x4 version of the Benz - and thanks, Traxxas for not releasing this in the "toy-like" bright red or blue! Why in the hell do I even send my pay check to the bank? I should just set up direct deposit with Traxxas. Not a Mercedes fan, but I could live with the body, I can see chopping the cab and printing a bed. The wheels have to go... Wonder if Traxxas with make a conversion kit? That mid-axle is going to be a hot commodity... |

Wow, that is impressive! And totally unexpected I might add..... 6 locking diffs, portals, and a 2 speed. Jeez. Very nice. Not a fan of the body, but I get it. Modelled after the 1:1... Still waiting for the large scale release from someone. Squid has been hinting at it for a while now. |
