Thanks! We've got a silver 1:1 Tacoma, so it's inspired by that. The stripes are there because stripes.

Nice build! How do you like the 550 motor now after a few months?

I would definitely recommend a 550 in a TRX4. They're pretty beefy. This one has been working out great as a budget option. No complaints. If they had been available at the time I probably would have gone with the Crawlmaster Sport. I'm not disappointed by any means, though.

Nice rig! What light kits did you use? Does it come with the kit? I'm getting mine delivered in the next 2 weeks.

Nice build. I'm in the middle of building mine only with all yeah racing upgrades. ( Just want a heavy low CG good crawling truck). Concerned about the angle of the front axle. Is the axle on the TRX4 suppose to tilt downward( output shaft of diff point slightly down). It creates a steep drive shaft angle and looks odd. Control arm are kicked forward, just makes the whole axle look like its rotated about 20 degrees. Thanks for any help

That doesn't look right to me. The pinion shaft should be pretty much parallel to the ground. I'd double check against the manual for anything that might be off.

Sweet build JohnnyAnguish! I'm getting a TRX4 kit later this week and I'm torn about gluing the tires, I like the stock wheel design and from what I've seen the stock tires perform pretty well, but gluing them seems too permanent to me. Can you tell me what model those Gmade plastic beadlocks are? I did some searching and wasn't finding them.

Edit: After a bit more searching I found the model of those wheels appears to be NR02...now to convince the wife that I NEED these.

Great pics! How many turns is that motor you used? 21T?

And now it's been a couple months, do your boys like the truck?
