Let's see your HW Quicrun 1080 mounting...

Getting ready to install mine. I know it can be as simple as slapping it on with some double sided tape, but I'd love to see some clean and creative installs! "thumbsup"

I saw a while back someone had a pretty nice 3D printed mount design. If anyone know where to buy one please speak up.

Looking at my chassis last night I'm considering the flat spot at the front of the Bowhouse battery box using velcro to remove if needed. I'll have a better idea once I have the part in hand.

Very nice! And that's an interesting toggle switch for the ON/OFF button!

This ESC is very light. Battery is low. Plus: in this position you can easily program it.

I printed this little mount for mine a while back. It mounts to the gearbox and I also have the receiver mounted to it. My body is too narrow to fit the electronics in the stock locations. It doesn’t work with stock battery tray. I could make it even better, but for now it works great.

I have made a simple plastic plate out of some scrap that screws onto the original screw holes, the 1080 is taped to it with "mirror tape", dual sided sticky foam that doesn't stick to the nylon plastic.
The switch cable is cut and extended with some thin servo wires plus heat shrink tubing, the switch is under the rear bumper mount.

My Mamba Monster X fits there perfectly but none of the velcro would hold well on the 3D printed version of the Bowhouse battery tray. Tried 3M, Velcro and a couple of other brands so I'm using a couple of cable ties that go under the fan assembly. If you have the newer, injection molded tray you might have better luck with velcro.

Found a simple mount off Thingiverse but could have designed my own at work if I wasn't being lazy.

Switch is no longer on the front of the battery tray. It's down towards the back end of the left side of the battery where I can reach in through the body's left rear fender opening and around the narrow inner fender well to activate it.

Just finished getting the wiring sorted for the ESC and motor install. I'm pretty happy with how it came out!

Can't wait to program and drive this thing!

Boy that’s a clean setup! And clean truck! I just stick to rocks and take the air compressor to mine once a week and it is nowhere near as clean as yours. Wow!

Are those battery connectors connecting the HW to the motor? Pretty clever! Never seen that before. Makes perfect sense though!

Agree, bullets however have a bit less resistance.

I just got mine up and running. I wanted to keep everything more centralized and this is what I came up with as far as layout.

Holy cow that’s clean!!!

How did you mount the battery up front by like that?

Do you have a lay down servo mount?

Thank goodness for tiny batteries. Nonetheless, I would classify the current state of the wiring as... okay. Definitely more soldering in my future.

I didn't do anything special for the battery. It's simply sitting ontop of the bumper mount/chassis and secured with a velcro strap.

No lay down servo mount, just the stock mount being used.

With all of my racing buggies I have built, messy wiring is kind of a pet peeve of mine and I try to keep things simple and clean when it comes to electronics.

I did mount the ESC with velcro so that way I can relocate it fairly easy to another spot in the vehicle, if I decide to do so later.

Great combo with the Torquemaster isn’t it? Super silent but powerrr!
