That's cool, awesome job on the bed!!!

I am really hoping Traxxas comes out with a TRX6 builder's kit with no body or electronics. I want to do a military-style 6x6 or 8x8 based on the TRX6, but don't want to drop unneeded money on the parts and pieces I am not going to use.

Thank you. I am already filling up a box of stock parts. I was tempted to do a logger or military style myself.

I absolutely agree with you. I’d be very interested in that.

You do some great work!

Thank you. I Knew I had to get into this hobby when a friend lent me one of her rigs. After 3 hrs blew by on her 2 acres of trials motorcycle rock playground...I had to have one....now two...now three...

I like the looks of the Axial version better to be honest, but the 2 speed and locking diffs seal the deal for me.
To be honest, the Axial 6x6 Unimog in stock form looks like a cheap toy in comparison to the TRX-6 g63. Unimog lacks the details. With some work though it can look great.

I think it is cool that both Traxxas and Axial came out with 6x6s around the same time. It says that there is real interest in the market for this style of rig.

With that, having seen both rigs in side-by-side action, I do like the TRX6 version better. The body aside, it is just all-around beefier, and seems to be more capable of a platform.

Before running the two rigs together, I was thinking about my next project being based on the Axial rig because it is a simpler design and costs less. But, I have changed my mind, and my project will be built off of the TRX6.

Thanks for the link to this build, GreatScott!
I suffered a catastrophic failure on my third run out (technically, end of my second) when the motor burned up. Unfortunately, there aren't many of these builds threads out here, so I will be bookmarking yours, though you're far deeper into it than I ever intend to be.

I just wish they'd release more bodies, I am not fab guy and a flatbed would be killer.

Beautiful build!
