I don't have much experience with the Slate motors, but I can say that the Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro (standard size) would definitely tick all your boxes. The 3500kv geared down would be my first choice. I've had my share of cheap brushless systems and I'd honestly rather have a wp1080 and 550 brushed than another crappy brushless setup.

Along the same thought process, the Savox 2290sg has been the longest lasting servo I've had in a crawler (well, my Promodeler 420 is older, but that car rarely gets used, and I like more power for my 2.2" cars) which has made it the best value. It doesn't hurt that it makes 694oz of torque either. My latest no b.s. servo is the 1027oz Futaba A700, but it's way too early to make any longevity claims, and it was the polar opposite of cheap. I'd say if you want to cut to the chase, go with the 2290. Otherwise the ds3218pro is a great bang for the buck servo that probably can't be beat for less than $100 (I think I paid $12 each for a 4 pack of 3218pro's.)

Do you have a link for that 4 pack of DS3218 pros?

Price seems to fluctuate a little, but I bought them from Aliexpress

Edit: just select the pro from the "color" menu

I think I'm gonna stick with the Rollbar, looked at it a bunch of times and I like it, went ahead and reamed the holes before I painted it, made it much easier to mark the holes."thumbsup"

That 67 Chev is a really nice body set. My kid used it for his RBK build.

it definitely changes up the look.

I'm impressed with way they did the grille, and it looks like an old Chevy should look, some Lexan bodies are out of proportion and just don't look quite right.

Looking forward to seeing her in paint kincer. ‘67 Chevy was a good choice as well and I like the roll bar with it - gives it a bit of an old school feel.

I just set that roll bar in the bed and it just fit, I think I'm gonna trim off about a quarter inch of the tubes to drop it down just a hair so it's just a bit above the roof. What do you think?

Yep, I’d for sure do that and just like you said - a hair over the roofline.

Ok I trimmed the rollbar a little over a quarter inch and I think it looks just right, also put some spacers on the sliders to bring them up with the body. Pretty happy with the look so far, I also have the the longer stub axles ordered so I can run the center caps, these Traxxas Blazer wheels complete the old school look in my opinion.
