It’s one of those once you start, theres no turning back. Have to drill 1/8” holes in the plastic fenders to attach them. They’re attaches with so heavy flathead screws. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I got halfway through, but I wanted to snap some pics for you. Couple take aways.. this would be way easier with Fenders off, but can be done. I did not take them off and had to get creative. I would pre screw some of the holes, because trying to get them to thread and making the rubber bend and cooperate is not easy lol. May only have to trim on the rear fender.

Deleted my huge pics and readded them. The rear wheels rub way too much when flexing. I don’t know why Traxxas did this. I think the best bet is get normal size Fenders and trim them. These would be good for lifted truck but not the scenario. Going to remove these and eventually order full plastic ones and trim them. And trimmed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Decided to weigh the flaps and screws less the ziplock of course for everyone. I would say they’re trimmed mildly. |

Are there any bodies available to fit over the inner fenders for the Scale and Trail Crawler kit other than the Defender body? I'm pretty sure these are the full size fenders. I got a Wrangler from Pro-Line but I had to cut the fenders completely off and it's still not a great fit. I'm thinking I need to get the narrow fenders and will have to trim them to fit any body I want to use.

I would think the Bronco and Blazer would fit perfect. That kit is a 12.3” chassis. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wanted to follow up on this thread I started. Here is the measured weight of one rubber flap, untrimmed Here is where you drill out Traxxas 8080, Narrow Inner Fenders Here is the Front Left 8081 flap screwed into Traxxas 8080, narrow inner fender. Bottom and Top views, respectively As Aqualung has pointed out and you can see, these mount inferior to the inner fender and therefor eat up space in the fender well. At full lock and full compression, the front tire presses into the flap. The tires clear the flap in the rear portion of the front well at full lock which is where the flap suits my purpose of keeping my electronics free of snow, water and debris I have only drilled out for the one 8081 flap so far. Undecided how I am going to proceed, but plan to trim the flaps to suit my purpose on the front (keep the snow being shed by my front tires from getting onto the electronics). On the rear I may skip using them altogether. Gonna decide after I finish with the fronts |

I guess I forgot to post this. Lol. I had some lexan scrap that I traced, cut, and drilled to match the rubber flaps. Gave em a few coats of lexan paint, then finished with bedliner. I had to trim them more since they give less than the rubber. But works well so far and much lighter! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

| Re: TRX-4 Sport Inner Fender I know I digging up an old thread... But I may be buying a TRX sport body and narrow fenders. I looked at the fender extensions and wondered if they serve much good, or get in the way. Did you keep the extensions on?
