Re: Winter is Coming............again? That thing scoots along pretty good with those Trax smog! Nice vids. We just got hit with another snow here which has me considering getting a set myself. |
Re: Winter is Coming............again? Great videos! Did you tweak the tracks? Looks like they work better than the first time. Sent from my Vivo XI+ using Tapatalk |

They also run much better on 3s. They require a lot of power to run in snow efficiently. |
Re: Winter is Coming............again? That is a cool video smog!"thumbsup" If seen these tracks run on dirt and rocks and wasn't very impressed, but I enjoyed watching yours out in the snow. They look like they would be a lot of fun. I may have to pick up a set for my TRX-4 now that as of this morning I have roughly 3-4 inches of snow on the ground with more to come tonight! |
Re: Winter is Coming............again? Pretty cool, the tracks seem to work well. Do they have a clutch or something? Sounds like there's a small clicking sound at obsyices before you backup and change your approach. |

One day I might take the time to edit and such. It’s just not a process I have gotten into. I shoot them and post them unedited. I guess that is my lazy style:ror: |

I've been subscribed to his YT channel for awhile now and always look forward to seeing new vids! |

You do have a nice mid 70’s Ford in white if I remember correctly. |

Next plan is the OD/UD gears for the axles. One thing about the traxx is that they are pushing forward way too hard through the turns. I can envision hitting some tighter lines with these things with some reduction in the back. Hope you are and you family are having a great holiday season! Thanks for popping in. |
Re: Winter is Coming............again? Still waiting for snow here in northern Illinois. The tracks look like they make easy work of the white stuff. Very cool. |

Re: Winter is Coming............again? Happy New Year RCC! Twas a beautiful day today and had some time to take the X4 Yeti Rescue Truck down to the river for a run in some fresh snow. Was a nice way to say 'later!' to another decade of living. Was a fun couple of hours out. The X4 has been gobs of fun. Mostly have no significant issues with how it's running. However I am looking forward to the rear UD gears which should be landing later this week http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4578-67582.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4578-67581.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4578-67584.jpg <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Tqv0l2xAu-U" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Re: Winter is Coming............again? First day of the year, first busted part on the X4:cry:. A little digging into RCC and it's pretty clear I am not the first to crack off the pan-hard mount. No surprises there, its a plastic appendage that sees a lot of stress. Probably didn't help that I launched the truck in sub-zero temps. Total brain fart on my part. I was caught up in the moment:oops:. My LHS only carries the Hot Racing Shock Mounts. A little research into these turned up evidence that the pan-hard mount on them is as weak as a wishbone. Considering they only come as a set of 4 and are pricey I decided to mail order a set of Samix from Amain. The consensus on RCC seems to be that they are the reputable replacement part. They certainly look beefier than either what STRC or Hot Racing have to offer so I am not surprised. The way I see it, I buy aluminum so that I never need to buy that part again. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4578-67585.jpg |
