Default Reedy Radon 2 motor -> TRX-4 -> motor rotation?

My Reedy motor runs the wheels in reverse when the motor leads are plugged in to the corresponding ESC leads. (pos->pos / neg->neg)

When I swap the leads (pos->neg /neg->pos) the wheels then rotate in the forward direction. Is there a way to swap my diffs around? or can I continue knowing my leads are swapped?

The motor has +/- 20 degrees of timing.

If I adjust the timing, would I turn the motor in the negative direction for positive timing?

When I swap the motor direction in the Link app, the braking on the radio is backwards. Swapping the motor direction in the app makes things more strange.

Any ideas / opinions on what I could do? Thanks in advance!

If you are running the shock ESC you are fine with the leads swapped. If course, you should check your radio to make sure you have not reversed the throttle input.

If you are running an aftermarket ESC, see if it has a "reverse rotation" setting. If so, you want that selected to "on".

Yep, stock ESC. Soon to be a 1080.

When I switch the throttle in the Link app, the braking swaps too... When in Trail or Sport mode I need to pump the trigger back twice to accelerate, but get immediate reverse when I push forward. So it kinda creates more problems. I reset my throttle end points as well. Same outcome.

I spoke to Reedy customer service and my LHS. Both say that using the motor with the opposite leads should be ok. The timing adjustments work as labeled, which helps keeps things simple.

So no worries! BUT some motors come with preset, non-adjustable timing. And when run with opposite leads plugged together, then the timing is then equally opposite of what it was. ie: -20 timing becomes + 20. Which is when motors may burn out.
