Winter is Coming............again?

2019-Who knew?

Jon Snow's head has been temporarily brought out of Carbonite freezing to help oversee the building of a new Yeti rescue vehicle. The illusive species has become an invaluable ally north of the wall but unfortunately they are being threatened by the blow of winters evil wind. This invisible force generated by Winter is proving to be more than the Yeti can handle. The attacks are swift and powerful. In fact they are enough to freeze the testicles of a species once believed to be impervious to winter's evil. The species survival is being threatened!

Here is Jon unwinding from the neck up. Being briefed by Shaggy, the head mechanic.

The bones of the rig are the bombproof TRX-4. Slight modifications will be made in order to make it off road and deep snow ready. It needs to be capable of navigating the craggy and stormy terrain north of the wall. So Shaggy built it up with a Wertymade steel bumper to maximize clearance and approach angles

The tires are Pitbull Rock Beasts. They will be interchangeable with a set of unstoppable Tracks to help the vehicle reach both the craggy peaks and run the snowy valleys.
The Tracks are currently in production while our mechanic and advisor work on other logistics. The Rock Beasts are seen above. Below can be seen the SSD steel wheels that will be depended on to hold on to those PB's like the white-knuckled vice

John Rob Holmes, the purveyor of parts breaking power has been tapped for his expertise and finely tuned torque. Originally planning a brushed system including the HW1080 and a HH Trailmaster Sport 550, the team is now leaning towards the kick-ass Mamba X to power the HH 2700kv Puller Pro. Moisture resistance is paramount and power will be required for the Tracks to pull this rig out of the deeps

This is just the beginning. Stay tuned for updates after Jon finishes his smoke(don't know how long that will take)

A few pics of the TRX-4 from production

These portals should only help with deep snow clearance. Bonus!

Speaking of Winter - Are you planning on getting the Trax for Winter smog?

That is the plan mewalsh. This year I take winter by the snowballs!

Not sure if I’m ready or not but, I do have a snowplow for the TRX4 that’s been sitting around!

I'm not a fan of that 4-letter word you speak of that starts with S![emoji852]

But I am looking forward to seeing what you have planned for this build![emoji16]

Cool! That has a fun factor. Any plans to upgrade in support of that? I imagine you will need some weight and traction to get the snow moving?

:ror: I hear ya. I make the best of it, but winter is limiting with the short day and bitter cold. It would be pretty awesome if someone came up with a winter tire compound for RC

I find it all depends on the snow consistency as well. Up to this point, the best performing tires I've run in the snow have been Hyrax.

Great idea. Even the best tires get decent traction for the first five minutes out the basement walkout, and then turn into Newbrights.

Love the snow vid! The tires definitely freeze in a hurry round here, as do the hands:ror: (the worst)

Certainly open tread tires have worked best for me as well. The RC4WD Goodyear MT-R have been serviceable as well.

Threw in the Puller Pro last night at about 1am. The way the motor mount incorporates the spur cover is interesting. It actually took me awhile to accept how it was designed. Very different from any past build.

The Puller might have the sexiest can I have ever seen! ooh,la la

LMAO!!!! Although I currently live just outside of Fort Lauderdale Florida , I'm originally from Chicago. I shoveled my fair share of snow and I don't miss it one bit. I'll take the heat of Summer and an occasional hurricane over shoveling snow any day. You all are welcome to come down for a visit anytime between now and April. My door is always open.

It’s not widely known, but Shaggy was hired for this job for a couple of rather esteemed reasons, omniscience, omnipotence. It also just so happens he might be omnipresent:shock:

Very interested in seeing how good the Trax work. My plan for the snow is a set of paddle tires for the UDR.

Our first snowfall has melted away. once we get a playful snowfall I will take 'er out and shoot some video.

So, the arrival of the trax got Shag a little bit titillated. Feeling a bit uneasy, Jon Snow's head suggested to him that he might break out the airbrush and parlay his energy toward some creativity.

So Shag painted a Yeti on the Yeti Rescue Truck
