Micro servo saver

So what is everyone doing to replace there micro servo savers? Or is it the done thing to stick to the stock ones?

Re: Micro servo saver

The rub is there are no means for setting end points on the stock electronics so keeping the servo savers is what most do and what I would recommend.

HeyOK makes an end point adjuster that can be wired inline with the servos, I found even with this dialed in the servo savers preformed just as good as one with a good end point.

Early on I did figure out a way of adjusting the throw of the servo arms, its free and easy. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/traxx...ml#post5734994

No problem.

They took the ability to like posts away, they claim its to drive more people to post. I do miss the feature though.

*like

You may want to checkout GPM’s aluminum servo mounts, as well. They make them in several anodized aluminum colors and for the front, shift, and diff servos. The front one is a real pain to change out... just FYI.

Cheers bud. Yeah don't I know it!!!! It packed up as soon as I fitted it.

Did it go bad after fitting the servo saver?
If so its likely from screwing the horn in and letting it rotate as you tighten it, the tiny plastic gears just cant hold up to that (I've busted one doing this, it takes very little force to do). You need to hold onto the tiny bit of the servo spline thats still exposed under the servo saver with needle nose pliers while you tighten it.

What about the metal gear version of the servo?

Traxxas put out a video how to properly attach those. I ran across it when I was looking for those micro servo alternatives.

Not sure, I haven't heard anything about those but I would assume they're likely tough enough to take it.

Hi, sorry I know this is reasonably old thread, but I am replacing my gear, and diff servos. I have some Savox servos, but they have a 21Tooth spline, so I can't use the Traxxas ones.
Any recommendations for where to get some would be appreciated.
Thanks.
