Default TRX4 axles

I am looking to do a build with a VS4-10 chassis and TRX4 axles. The plan is for locked axles. What is the difference between the TRX4 Sport axles and the TRX4 Defender axles in terms of durability?

The Sport axles are locked, and the Defender axles have the ability to be opened up via cable and servo. So you want Sport axles

It seems like the sports are easier to find and cheaper cause the lack of the switchable locker

I actually got the switchable axles and spools cheaper than the locked Sport axles.

Anyone know why there are so many new take-offs available?

Most likely people that buy rigs specifically to part out.

What he said. I think mostly the axles are the high value first to sell part.

But the vs4-10 chassis is not so different from the trx4 chassis. Mostly shock mounts and transmission makes it different.

I would just buy the sport myself. Unless you want a really low gear ratio.

I did that, it has great ground clearance all around but the diff ratio is too short, i have a Castle slate 2850 kv and i had to use a 44t spur and 23t pinion to have decent wheel speed with 3s and crawl well with excellent low speed control, also make sure that you mount the transmission with the output in line to the front differential
