Can't wait to see how things turn out. Another user here tried something similar and I think had clearance issues with the TRX4 axles and the VFD trans. Hopefully you don't.

Yea I seen he had issues, they seemed to be self inflicted in his case, I see a little work needed but nothing horrible Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Very cool, been hoping to see one of these with the kinks worked out for the VFD. When you get there, please post a pic of your front upper link mount and how much it’s spaced over to work out for you. Nice work! |

Well last night was the first test run, needs a lot more upgrades, but I used what I had around, this set up was amazing side hill killing animal, to the people that said this couldn’t be done they were dead wrong, I was able to successfully use the vfd trans and trx4 axles on the vs410 frame, updates to come are dravtech shocks, dlux rear sway bar, full 3D interior with driver, passenger, and 3 kids, vp wheels, 4.19 Goodyear mtrs, full size spare, castle slate system, servo winch, Man I’m stoked so far tho

I was the user who attempted to make TRX-4 axles work with the VFD trans on a VS4-10 chassis. Congrats on getting your setup to work. I had heard that Junfac driveshafts would help clear the trans skid, and then it would just be a matter of spacing over the front upper link. But I think the difference is you're using the standard height shock towers. I'm still not sure it would have worked for me because I am using the extended shock towers on my VS4-10 chassis. I get all the travel of 90mm shocks, and a nice low ride height. But the extended shock towers do seem to create more clearance issues. I think that's why VP used 80mm shocks to avoid raising the COG too much on their portal-axled VS4-10 Ultra. Anyway, glad to hear your setup is working well for you.
