My Sport bugged out
 

After seeing OSRC put a bug body on one of his trucks I got nostalgic for the days when I would take a pair of Clodbuster axles, some aluminum from Home Depot, a cutting board for a skid and lots of threaded rod to make a crawler. I always threw a bug body on them because they just look cool.

There's no reason for a build thread since all I did was hack 1" off of the frame rails in the rear and slap a new body on, but I am really happy with this. I am going to set the shocks up for full droop just to get it sitting lower and I also think I'll stretch the wheelbase out.

Here's a look at the fancy Injora bumper that I used on the rear. After seeing this shot I'm thinking of making up something to block out the interior since it is so exposed from this angle.

Looks good!! I think PL should come out with a bug body specific to the TRX, or at least designed for crawlers. The Slash version is ok, but leaves a bit to be desired.

I would like that but I can only imagine all of the people here picking apart all of the ways it isn't scale.

Stretching the wheelbase was the right move. It looks much better. I wish I had done that before I mounted the body. I can't get the body mount lined up with the shock towers moved back. I have them flipped so that everything lines up, but that makes my rear shocks lean backwards. I'll have to work that out.

Definitely looks better with the longer wheelbase.
