Body options for 12.3 TRX4 Sport

I’ve been looking at body options for my TRX4 Sport. The stock body is ok, but I’m looking for something more real looking. I’m lucky I have the kit version that came with the body that has the light buckets, etc but I’d like to get something that more resembles a real truck.

One concern I’ve seen is the rear shock towers so if it’s a pickup truck I’d have to cut holes in the bed which I’d rather not do. I’d rather stick with a polycarbonate body for now. Hard body may be something for future. Sticking with lexan

The one off the bat that is intriguing is:
*Axial 1969 Blazer body: the included accessories make it a great value and I could get the hard top too. I saw on YouTube where someone mounted this on a TRX4 Sport and didn’t mod the back mounts but put magnets on the front ones and it fit great.

Mainly looking for your experience and what you selected and how you mounted it. I’m liking pickup bodies the best and the 1969 Blazer. The Proline 1966 C10 is nice, but seems to have the shock tower issue. I do like the light buckets too.

I'm running a axial jeep Cherokee body on mine only thing needed was the taller body mounts for the rear. I also have the bowhouse battery tray so turned mount around and moved holes for rear mount back. If interested you can pm me or text me at 5308643863 for pictures ect

I also have the Axial Jeep Cherokee body on one of my TRX4s and it is a very nice fit and requires surprisingly little modification. If you want a 69 Blazer body Traxxas is due to release a new body 69 and 72 Chevy Blazer versions in August.

I just ordered this body. How difficult was this to get on your TRX-4 sport? Did you need to do any modifications to the body or the truck?

i ordered the Axial blazer body for my TRX4. like hte accessories it comes with, but screwed up trimming it. i want the wheel wells up to the top of the inner fenders, but the main body height is a little too short. so i trimmed the body too high and now it doesnt sit properly. ill probably keep it as a basher as i have ordered another to trim properly.

The Axial Blazer body rear body posts are directly where the rear seat is. So you would have to play a little how to mount the body.
The wheelbase is 12" but the TRX-4 Sport body fits to SCX10 II Blazer chassis perfectly.

I've beaten the Sport body and Axial Blazer body, in built quality they are equal.
The Axial SCX10II 1969 Blazer with better wheels and Axial '67 C10 front bumper.
