| power switch to leave body on with aftermarket esc?
I know traxxas makes an under chassis switch for the stock esc but what are you guys doing to be able to leave the body on while turning the truck on and off for an aftermarket esc? here is my hobbywing set up as is.

I have extended the 4 wires to the power swirch box on my 1080 and then glued it under the rear bumper.

Or just take the body off since you should always unplug your battery when its not in use.

Cut the power wire and wire in a switch rated for the voltage from the hardware store to where you can reach it with the body on.

^^ THIS ^^ You should never leave your battery plugged in, even when you've powered off the ESC via the ON/OFF switch. If you do just want it in a more convenient position, I would do like amigaman did and extend the leads to allow for locating the switch where you'd prefer to have it. | |

Get rid of the switch all together. IMO they shouldn't even exist, they just provide a false sense of security and create an extra electronic failure point..

Yup, it's a momentary button not a switch, also there's the teach button in the small box.
