Yea man I am, see you’re in Portland?
Yes sir.
Tigard actually.
I started reading this thread and got a bit worried as I recently sold a TRX4 to a feller in Wilsonville.
But, it was not you thankfully.
I take more pride in the things I sell than that.

Perhaps we will see you out on the rocks this summer.

Right on, I lived in Tigard when I first moved here. Then Beaverton and now down here.
Hey no worries, lol the guy is supposedly a part of a big rc group up here but I won’t name any names.
Absolutely, I usually hit Elk rock a few times a month. Just went to Lucia falls this week for my 3rd time.. other than dumping my brand new Capra in a pool I had a good time

Here we go! Soooo many screws. Thanks to RCScrewz, the kit has been great so far. Got all new hardware in the axles, portals and transmission. Also started assembly of the chassis.
Still need a couple odds n ends like tr4 servos for the lockers/2-speed and a new steering servo. Will probably end up with a savox 1210sg
I was able to somewhat save the shocks, but I have a set of 90mm piggybacks on the way just Incase.
Also have a Bronco body in route from Tirebuster

I’ve got a roller! Kind of lol I should have read the details on the ssd wheel hexes. They don’t work with stock wheels so I have some knew ones coming with the last few bits

Final few pieces should be here over the next few days, but couldn’t help getting the body mounted up.

Well here’s the finished product for now, other than the beadlocks that will be here this week.
A whole lot more time and money than I should have spent. But turned out pretty alright. Can’t wait to get it out for an actual test run

Final build specs
Holmes hobbies 21t 550
Hobbywing 1080
3 tr4 micro servos
Spektrum 6100At Dx5c
Traxxas led kit
Ecopower steering servo for now

Thanks, there’s not much left of the original car.

Well I gave her a little makeover tonight. I had this 12.8 Jeep body that came with the wreck, so I pulled the inner fenders mounted some shock towers, stretched the rear end out and made the body fit. Got all the lights working and roof rack reorganized.
The sliders need to be spaced up but I can work on that later.

Going to give it a test run tomorrow.

Well I got to take this thing out for a solid run today. Me and 2 other buddies with Trx4’s spent the better part of 4.5 hours trying to outdo each other.
I have to say, after I stripped all the junk off the roof.. rack, light bar, etc. this thing impressed me over and over. Once I got rid of the top heaviness I was able to do the majority of the lines my buddies did and some they couldn’t.
Mind you both of their rigs were heavily modified. Brushless, tons of weight down low, wheel spacers etc. Sorry to say I didn’t take a single pic but we were just having too much fun
