I have this and my rear upper links hit it in the straight up and down motion. In flex they do not. I also chopped the vertical portion in half and dropped it down further so that its almost touching the top of the rear output shaft. |
Re: KYX battery tray install Wonder how it compares to the Bowhouse battery tray? |

I think it sits a little lower, but its pretty cheap and, like i said, my upper rear links on my sport contact it straight up and down. I notched mine to give me some more clearance even. |
KYX battery tray install This is how mine sits in the chassis with a 2200 mah battery: https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f5857271f6.jpg The red arrow points to the aluminum tab i added to lower the front down to where its just above the rear output yoke of the trans. The 90* angle in the back is roughly where the back of my trimmed tray sits and where the upper links hit. Here are some other pics of mine: https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...4e582a66e1.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2c2b32b7ed.jpg |
KYX battery tray install I also had to cut my bowhouse Mount the same way. I figured it was from my shock uppers being relocated forward a bit. I guess not. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...29f1c8298a.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...92d4f76bb7.jpg I also run 2200 mah batteries. I’m considering smaller ones so I can cut more out. |
