Installed the Samix shock mounts. I do not like how they are designed. They are thick but designed that on the highest hole ...the body now sits higher than stock. If they made a set of holes higher...the tension nut would rub the mount. Will probably keep the front on to help the front end be more ridged...but might go back to stock for rear. Bought a cheap pair on EBay that let me lower my other TRX-4 with no issues. Truck height is okay ..but really wanted to get close to rubbing the wheelwells.

Might use these instead. The holes for the shocks are way above the crossbar hole. Samix was even with the crossbar hole.

Got her to sit lower. Drilled and tapped the far corner of the Samix mounts. That raised my shock mount hole and shock went forward. Made a small spacer between the mount and shock to let the spring tension nut not rub. That combo worked. Used the hot stick to carve the bed around the shock towers ...letting the bed sit as low as it can. Will make cargo boxes to hide shock towers if they bother me.

It’s ok. Going to need a lot more tinkering. The long spring I used to establish the ride height is working against me. It’s not allowing the wheel to drop down as far as before because the spring is pushing it back up towards the chassis. I liked the articulation of my original setup better compared to current one but I like the ride height now better. So I’m going to have to figure it out. | |

Bought this to cut my 3mm bolts to exact length. I can now shorten my spacers that is keeping my shock tension nut from rubbing the tower. This will give me an almost straight shock....looking down on it.

Found a perfect small aluminum spacer that just needed an enlarged hole at local hardware store to move my shock away from the tower just a little bit. Found 6 exact length needed bolts after this photo.
