Trying to decide which beadlocks

Hi- I’m trying to decide which metal beadlocks to get. My buddy got the deep dish 1.9” wagon wheels and I think they look great and I really like the wider stance. That being said I’m concerned about rubbing too much.

Is that a valid concern?

If I went with regular width wheels, what’s the best way to get the stand a little wider without creating rubbing?

Is there a technical advantage to the deep dish or is it just looks?

Here are the wheels I’m thinking about:
Deep dish: https://www.rcplanet.com/tires-wheel...ck-rc4z-w0243/

Regular: https://www.rcplanet.com/rc4wd-5-lug...-4-rc4z-w0129/

Sorry I’m a total noob!

It is unlikely that you would have any rubbing but that will be more a function of the tires you use. However, that type of steel beadlock wheel is a PITA to assemble. I bought one set of those wheels back when I first started in RC crawlers and mounted up one tire and said to hell with that. I tossed the wheels in my spare parts box and that was that.

I think it's a personal preference. I think the deep dishes always look good. What sort of TRX4 is this going on?

You won't need the space to run prolines with the deep dish.

The rear should probably be ok, but you might get more interference on the front when turning. The less backspacing the wheel has, the more it moves front and back as you turn.
