Unfortunately, I believe they are hassle free for the sport models.

No inner fender/integrated shock mount mess.

Take the stock mount off and put aftermarket on.

just got a chance to take it for a test in my log pile. it has tranformed the steering. it now has the strength and precision that i expected from my HHv3 servo. i now thing my long journey of finding a good servo could have been shortened by upgrading the panhard mounts.

On the frame end I made a simple bracket out of plate steel plate that has about a 90* bend in it. Drilled two holes in it, one for the panhard bolt, an another that goes through the bottom of the chassis. This required precise placement of the second hole because there is barely room inside the chassis rail to capture 3mm nut. It took me a couple trys to get the bend and hole placement exact, but it was worth it. No more flex on the chassis mount, and the hardware stays tight. Been abusing it for over a year with a Promodeler 470 reefing on the links. Now it just wears out rod ends, and I can live with that.
I like this fix, thanks for sharing.

I'm aware of the flex, and when I get the TRX4 reassembled I'll be double checking end points anyway as I'm installing a new servo. I'm wondering though, how much this is going to matter to me in the long run. If I were competing I could see that sloppiness being a real issue, but for just messing around having fun, I'm not sure I care so long as nothing breaks.

We'll see, I didn't think there was anything wrong with the stock Servo for the first couple weeks either though, but that ended quickly.

i was annoyed that after a adjusting the steering trim, i would take a couple turns (flat surface, not in a crawling spot) and the rig would once again not drive in a straight line. sometimes it would be to the left, but usually to the right. then i would have to adjust the trim again only to have it not drive in a straight line again.

This guy found a clever way to solve that issue without the need to replace the stock mount:

I broke the stoke mount after a few months. I went with the hot racing and it has worked great. If you want to keep your inner fenders just cut like other have said. This fall sometime I do plan on changing the chassis and at that time I will mount my servo on the axle.

Other issues I have had with my steering have been the servo and horn (no surprise there) and my controller. The only that really surprised me on how much it made my steering improve was the controller.

Permanent upper panhard bar mount fix

This was the fix I designed. I have 4 sets of frame rails all done up like this or am able to weld up individual rails if needed. just let me know!
